Open Multiple Gtalk Instances

This is a pretty old trick now. But, some people still don't know how to open multiple instances of Google Talk client so that they can log in with different account.

To be able to open more than one window of Gtalk, you just simply need to edit its shortcut in Start Menu. Navigate to Start > All Programs > Google Talk and right-click on the Google Talk shortcut.

There, as shown in the screen shot, change the /startmenu to /nomutex and click OK. Now, whenever you click on that shortcut, a new instance or window of Google Talk will appear. But, once it opens, it will try to log in with the account you are currently logged in, so you need to log off and log in again.

You can also use /nomutex from Run command and from Command Prompt as well.

Until then...
